What a content creator does at Knolby

You take one exam you genuinely know, and turn it into the question bank aspirants practise from every day.

✍️

Write the questions

Author multiple-choice questions with the correct answer and a clear explanation for each option. Write them one at a time in the Studio editor, or bulk-upload up to 50 at once from a spreadsheet.

🗂️

Structure the syllabus

Organise your exam into subjects and chapters in the Content Tree, so learners practise in a sequence that mirrors how the exam is actually set.

📈

Watch it go live

Once your questions clear review they are published straight into the live question bank and start reaching learners on WhatsApp. Your earnings accrue as they do.

How creators earn

Transparent, tracked automatically, and withdrawn on your request.

A share of the revenue

Creators earn an agreed share of the subscription revenue from the exam they write for. Your share is fixed when your exam is assigned, and it is visible in your dashboard from day one.

Tracked without you asking

Every approved question and every subscription that counts toward your earnings is recorded in your Studio earnings ledger. Nothing is manual and nothing is hidden from you.

Withdraw when you choose

Once your balance passes the payout threshold you request a payout from your dashboard and our team processes it. You are never chasing an invoice.

Exact rates depend on the exam, the scope of work and the terms agreed during onboarding. Your specific terms are confirmed in writing before you begin. Knolby never charges a creator any fee.

How to become a Knolby creator

Five steps from application to your first published question.

  1. 1

    Create your account and apply

Register with your email, then complete a short application: the role you want, the exam you specialise in, your professional background, and your CV.

  2. 2

    Verify your email

We send a one-time code to confirm your address. It takes a minute.

  3. 3

    We review your application

Our team checks your background against the exams we are currently commissioning. If we need anything further, we message you inside the portal.

  4. 4

    Your exam is assigned

Approved creators are assigned one exam — and sometimes one specific subject within it, so a large syllabus can be split across several specialists.

  5. 5

    Write, get reviewed, earn

Write in the Studio editor or bulk-upload. An independent reviewer checks each question for accuracy. Approved content goes live to learners and your earnings begin to accrue.

Creator or reviewer — two separate roles

Most people join as creators. Reviewer is a distinct, independent role, and the two are deliberately kept apart.

Content Creator

Most applicants

You write the question banks, study material and MCQs for one exam you are an expert in.

  • Turn your expertise into world-class study material
  • Help thousands of aspirants crack your exam
  • Build a recognised name in the learning community
  • Earn a share of the revenue your exam generates
🔍

Content Reviewer

Independent check

You check content written by others for factual accuracy and exam relevance. You do not write the questions you review.

  • Ensure only accurate, high-quality content reaches learners
  • Work on exams matched to your domain expertise
  • Help shape Knolby's content standards
  • Approve, or send back with clear feedback
One account holds one role. You choose either Creator or Reviewer when you apply, and that choice defines your account. The same person cannot be both the creator and the reviewer on the same exam or subject — a review only means something if the person doing it did not write the content. If you want to change roles later, speak to our team rather than opening a second account.

Who we're looking for

Depth in one exam matters far more than a long CV.

  • Subject matter experts, faculty and educators in competitive, professional or academic exams
  • Working professionals who cleared the exam and know what actually gets tested
  • People who can write clearly and defend exactly why an answer is correct
  • Comfortable working independently and remotely to a quality standard
  • Able to commit consistent time — this is real work, not a one-off gig
  • For reviewers: a sharp eye for factual accuracy and exam relevance

Frequently asked questions

What does a Knolby content creator actually do?

You write multiple-choice questions, answer explanations and study material for one exam you are an expert in. You write them in the Studio editor or bulk-upload them, and an independent reviewer checks them before they reach learners.

Can I apply as both a creator and a reviewer?

No. Each account holds exactly one role, chosen when you apply. Creators write content; reviewers independently check content written by others. The same person cannot be both on the same exam or subject, because a review is only meaningful if the reviewer did not write the material.

Do I need teaching experience?

No formal teaching qualification is required. What matters is genuine command of the subject and the exam. Many of our creators are working professionals who cleared the exam themselves.

How much time does it take?

It is flexible and fully remote — you work at your own pace. Consistency matters more than hours: we are looking for people who keep producing quality content, not a single burst of activity.

Can I work on more than one exam?

Creators are assigned one exam at a time so quality stays focused. A large syllabus can be split so that several creators each take one subject. Reviewers may cover more than one exam depending on their expertise.

What happens if my questions are rejected?

Nothing punitive. Your reviewer explains what needs fixing, you edit and resubmit, and it goes back for review. The revision loop is built into the Studio.

Is there any fee to join?

No. Applying is free and always will be. Knolby never asks creators or reviewers for a registration fee, training fee or security deposit.

What documents do I need to apply?

Your CV or resume at minimum. We may request supporting documents to verify your professional background before approving your application.
